    Due to the unexpected outbreak of the COVID-19<\/span>, many countries closed their borders. So the first thing you should do before visiting China is to make sure you have the necessary border entry and exit permissions.     N<\/span>o matter how small or how big your business is, attending trade shows is always the most effective way to find suppliers offline.<\/span><\/div>

    Because suppliers on trade shows are either manufacture<\/span>r or trading companies<\/span><\/a>, so you can always expect a relatively competitive price offer as long as you can purchase a minimum order quantity<\/a><\/span> from them which is normally around $500 to $<\/span>1,000<\/span> for one product.<\/span><\/div>

    Tips for Dealing with Suppliers in Trade Shows<\/h3>

    If you haven\u2019t been to any trade show before, here are some tips for you to deal with China suppliers on trade shows.<\/p>

    Make a note about the minimum order quantity and the price of the products you are interested in as well as the contact information of the supplier in the middle of the trade show for later negotiation.<\/p>

    Buy your product sample right before the show ends, then you\u2019ll probably get the lowest price because the sellers are willing to get rid of their samples instead of carrying them home.<\/p>

    F<\/span>or those who are not able to attend trade shows or just want to buy multiple kinds of products in a relatively small quantity, wholesale markets<\/a> with fewer limits of product categories and MOQ are definitely worth trying.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    P<\/span>rices offered by suppliers in wholesale markets are sometimes even lower than what you can get from suppliers on trade shows<\/a> or online platforms<\/a> like Alibaba<\/a>.<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    Well, what Kind of Wholesale Markets Should You Visit in China?<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    Similar to trade shows, <\/span>the wholesale markets can be classified into comprehensive ones and specialized ones, and the sellers in wholesale markets are either manufacturer or trading companies.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    T<\/span>here are wholesale markets in almost every city in China, but over 99.5% of them are not worth visiting because they are targeted at the local small quantity wholesalers.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    So<\/span> I only recommend the wholesale markets of Yiwu and Guangzhou for you to <\/span>explore<\/span>.<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>

    Visit Wholesale Markets in<\/b><\/span> Yiwu<\/b><\/span><\/h3>
    The <\/span>Yiwu Market<\/a> (Yiwu International Trade City) has been identified as the world\u2019s largest small commodities wholesale market with over 50,000 suppliers for all kinds of product categories, and it opens whole year-around with only a 15-day shutdown during the Spring Festival.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0<\/div>
    The target client<\/span>s of this market are 50% overseas and 50% domestic. So in here you can see a lot of foreign importers coming from different countries and many of them have lived in here for years.<\/span><\/div>
    \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/div>
    The Yiwu International Trade City is a 5.5 kilometers long building with 4 floors. And all products are well <\/span>classified into different areas of this market. So it would be rather easy and convenient for you to find any imaginable consumer products inside.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>

    Besides the International Trade City, there are also other specialized markets for <\/span>product categories such as machines and fabrics. Although they are not as famous as the Trade City, you can still buy products in them at good prices.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>

    Visit Wholesale M<\/b><\/span>arkets<\/b><\/span> in Guangzhou<\/b><\/span><\/h3><\/div>
    If you want to source products like <\/span>apparels, shoes, bags, cosmetics and watches, I highly recommend the wholesale markets in Guangzhou<\/a> for the reason that most of the manufacturers for these kinds of products are located in or close to Guangzhou. Although you can possibly find these products in Yiwu too, the price will be relatively higher.<\/span><\/div>

    Searching suppliers in Guangzhou<\/span>\u2019s wholesale markets can be a real headache sometimes because the markets there are so scattered around that you can\u2019t easily tell what are they selling or which one sells at lower prices.<\/span><\/div>

    Actually just trying to get familiar with the wholesale environment only may take you long enough, let alone other things related to sourcing.<\/span><\/div>

    So my suggestion is <\/span>that you should be fully prepared before coming to China, do all the necessary researches to spare the time you would spend on collecting information in China.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>

    For instance, there are many Shenzhen markets<\/a> for different product category. If you want to source electronics<\/span>, then you must pay a visit to the\u00a0Huaqiangbei Market<\/a>\u00a0in Shenzhen. It is the largest electronic market in the world. And there are nearly 50 electronic markets in Huaqiangbei.     So there are many people who are willing to put great effort into finding the real original <\/a><\/span>manufacturer<\/a>, by doing so they can cut all the middlemen out and minimize their purchasing cost.<\/span><\/div>

    The manufacture<\/span>rs you want to look for are supposed to be those who don\u2019t go to any trade shows, don\u2019t use Alibaba and only sell their products through trading companies instead of directly selling to foreigners.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>

    Then you need to pay attention to the first word of the supplier<\/span>s\u2019 name. It\u2019s either the name of the city or the province where the suppliers are located.<\/span><\/div>

    Next step, try and find the most frequently appeared city or province, go to the relevant <\/span>suppliers\u2019 contact page and check their operational addresses.\u00a0<\/span><\/div><\/div>
